PE Pipe For Water Supply
PE water supply pipe uses high density polyethylene as raw material and is extruded once by plastic extruder. It is suitable for urban water supply networks, irrigation, division and agricultural sprinkler projects, especially for environments requiring acid and alkali resistance and corrosion resistance. Since the PE pipe adopts hot fusion and electrofusion connections, the integration of joints and pipe is realised. It can also resist circumferential stress generated by internal pressure and impact stress on axial direction. In addition, PE pipe is free from the stabilising agents of heavy metallic salt, the material is non-toxic, and is free from scaling and bacteria breeding so as to avoid secondary pollution of drinking water
PERFORMANCE FEATURES:
- Non-toxic and hygienic: The pipe material, which is non-toxic and considered a green building material, is free from corrosion and scaling.
- Corrosion resistance: Polyethylene (PE) is an inert material. Except for a few strong oxidants, it can resist corrosion of chemical mediums. It is free from electrochemical corrosion and does not require a protective coating.
- Free from leakage: The polyethylene pipe mainly uses hot fusion and electrofusion connections which realises the pipe system integration abilities. It is equipped with satisfactory water flow capacity and offers the effective ability to resist underground movement and end load of fusion joint and polyethylene pipe and fittings, which greatly enhances the reliability of water supply and water utilisation rate.
- Minimal flow resistance: The absolute roughness coefficient of the internal wall of polyethylene water supply pipe is less than 0.01 which effectively reduces water supply consumption.
- High toughness rating: Polyethylene water supply pipe has a high toughness rating and the elongation at break point is generally above 500%. It has a strong adaptive capacity for non-uniform settlement and excellent anti-jolt properties.
- Excellent flexibility: The flexibility of polyethylene enables the water supply pipe to be coiled and supplied in greater lengths which reduces the number of joints and pipe fittings required, thereby increasing the pipe’s economic value
- Long service life: The safe service life of polyethylene pressure pipe is over 50 years.
